- Alan - Present- Advisor Announcement:
Maritza: Admin can no longer meet in lounge. All Senate Committee meetings must be in the Zoom in accordance to the Brown Act, please check with your advisor if you're unable to set it up.
Maritza: Make sure your minutes are available by next week. Makes sure that all of your attendance is tracked. For any unexcused absences due to illness, note that down in the minutes (*) or emailed to Maliah. If an excused absence is related to illness, it's 1/2 of a Warning.
Maritza: Starting Winter Quarter, me Dayna would Jenny to revert to our previous roles now that our contracts are up. We're still deciding what that will look like starting Winter Quarter.
"Were the roles always temporary to begin with?"
It's been temporary since January. We thought we were going to get an exemption, but it's not possible.
Dennis: Hyn-Chu was supposed to be the advisor, but since she was promoted as the dean there was a vacancy and that's where Maritza would step in. We hoped RAPP would fill the Faculty Coordinator position last year, we really need to push for that in the RAPP committee this year.
Maritza: You could expect some loss/reduction of capacity due to the staff in office.
Dennis: We want to make sure that there's consistency and we're getting everything needed for agendas. If you need something on the Senate Agenda, use the Senate Item Agenda Request Form.
Dennis: You need to include attachments and links for when it gets posted. We also need to have access to that.
Business Item 1: General Check In
Min: Can we talk about the meeting with President Torres?
Jayven: January 21st at 1-2pm.
Alan: What happened with the Special Meeting Yesterday?
Jayven: It was buried within the 2024 Agendas, Maritza corrected it but it was still sorted in the 2024 calendar year.
Business Item 2: Individual Committees
Discussions about individual committees and their concerns going into the Winter Quarter.
Myles: Bike Program went well for ES.
Joey: Events is great, Hoco was a success and my senators are all very great and capable people.

Thu: My interns aren't scared of me. Marketing is great we're working on Destress.
Chrissy: My senators are all very passionate people.
James: Elections Code got finished, my senators are great.
Min: First quarter went very smoothly, cotton candy was a success.
