Full-Time Faculty

Offices are provided to Faculty as a place to fulfill work assignments and to enhance teaching and student learning. The Office of College Operations, in collaboration with the Division Dean or Program Manager designates office assignments for full time faculty.  Faculty office locations are determined by availability and proximity to the division, department and colleagues teaching within the same discipline, when ever possible.

Faculty Office Furniture Refresh Project

All faculty offices are being refreshed with new ergonomic furniture using Measure C Bond funds.  These funds are specifically designated for Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment.  The new, updated furniture has been installed in more than 75% of the faculty offices on campus. The remaining offices are on schedule to be completed by 2021.

We strongly encourage all faculty members to participate in the Furniture Refresh Project!  No alternative funding source for office furniture will be created once the bond expires in 2021.  Any offices that is not changed before the bond expires will remain in its current condition.

When an office is ready for refresh

College Operations will contact the occupant of an office whose space is scheduled for new furniture. The Furniture, Fixture and Equipment Coordinator will meet with the occupant to assess furniture needs based on established college standards.

Once the furniture plan is approved, College Operations will process the furniture order and manage the furniture installation.

  • Notifications begin in Winter Quarter and new furniture is installed during the summer break.
  • Office occupants are responsible for packing the office.  Boxes and recycle bins are provided by College Operations.
